British company Adlens has a soft spot for individuals living in war torn third world countries such as Rwanda. This company is creating adjustable glasses that are designed specifically for those that cannot afford to buy prescription glasses. This privilege comes as a major blessing for those that are living in dire circumstances.
The cheap glasses are made of plastic and have a little knob located in the inner arm to adjust the lenses so the individual can see clearly. Adlens has had much success selling these adjustable glasses in the United States. In the United States alone, it has sold around one hundred thousand glasses either through TV marketing, online or at Home Depot. Since it has attracted much success here in the United States, this company is expecting for it to be a great hit in Rwanda. These convenient eyeglasses cost from twenty to forty dollars here in the United States.
This company has arranged it to when any American citizen buys a pair of their plastic glasses frames, then they will donate a free pair to the organization Vision for a Nation. The Vision for a Nation will then provide the glasses for the health workers who will administer eye vision tests for each recipient. The individual will then have to pay a dollar to receive the glasses so the health clinic can be financially funded.
Ah, this totally makes me want to break out my glasses a little more often! Love the color combo too!
