Good News to Bifocal Wearers: Self-adjusting Glasses Are Coming

Vision problems plague people from around the world, and nothing is more annoying to a wearer of spectacles, than to have to sit for regular and sometimes expensive eye examinations twice a year.
Also a source of annoyance is for wearers of bifocal glasses to have to acquire an additional pair of prescription glasses, such as reading glasses, which they will require in order to either read a book or for distance viewing, for which they will require another kind of prescription glasses. Self-adjusting glasses come as a welcome source of relief to these spectacle wearers, therefore, as they possess the ability to let the wearer manually set the power of the eyeglasses so that one pair of glasses serves the purpose of three.

Empower glasses are a truly unique technological advancement. They contain liquid crystal layers, which alter power via prompting. The prompting function can be carried out by the wearer, who simply needs to touch the eyeglass frame or tilt their head in a particular direction, thus making it easy to use by people of all ages. Three settings are available; automatic, manual on and manual off, thus allowing the wearer to have complete control over their pair of empower spectacles.

The electronic empower glasses are clearly a sign of good things to come for Bifocal spectacle wearers, and it is predicted that the currently expensive spectacles will retail for a cheaper price; they are currently available for a minimum of $1200-1500.

  1. Hey there Aki, nice to 'meet' you! Great review, thanks for the heads up - I didn't know about this company but actually could do with some new specs, maybe I'll have to check them out...
